Champion the safety of residents by working tirelessly for rapid and hazard-free snow removal: Urgent response on snow removal on Milton’s roads. It is very risky to wait five(5) to ten(10) days for removal. As well as the urgency to stop blocking our driveways by leaving the snow stacked at the front of our homes. Also reduce the speed limit on some inner streets and roundabouts during rush hours .
Engage the council for increased recreational facilities to accommodate the growing population: A need for community parks is urgent for our children. Milton has approximately three hundred(300) new families that moved in ward4 in the last two (2) years, and continue to grow. The infrastructures for our children are insufficient. This is not acceptable. We need parks, a community and leisure centre that is well equipped for our children. More parking space is needed.
Promote the development of a property tax scheme that homeowners can easily understand: The way property taxes are assessed in order to determine property taxes need to be well explained to residents. Properties prices have dropped but property taxes are still rising. Residents are very concerned about this matter.
